Calf Exercise



Calf exercise is not fancy, but it's all you need to tone and shape your lower legs.

Muscles worked:

  • lateral gastrocnemius

  • soleus

Calf exercise

  • Start with your feet hip width apart

  • Lift up unto your tip toes

  • Pause for a moment

  • Lower yourself down

  • Repeat 10-15 times

  • Rest for a minute

  • Do 2 more sets


Variations

  • Turn your toes outwards for a set

  • Turn your toes inwards for a set

  • Stand on a step with your heels hanging off it

For more challenge:

  • Wear ankle weights

  • Hold on to dumbbells

  • When on your tip toes, pulse down without touching the floor and come right back up unto your tip toes. Do a set of 12 without stopping.
