Love Your Legs



Kim Overton is the fitness expert who came up with the cellulite treatment and fitness program "Love Your Legs" now featured on DVD.

Her program is also featured in the April 2007 issue of Cosmo.

I have been following her cellulite treatment program for couple of months and I found it to be extremely beneficial to leg fitness and cellulite reduction.

I highly recommend it to any woman who wants to reduce cellulite and get her legs in great shape!

I contacted Kim directly and we explored "Love Your Legs" in more detail.

Here is what she told me:


What is your background?

I became a personal trainer in NYC after the events of 9/11, earning my training certification through IFPA.

I also hold a Pilates mat certification and a sport nutrition certification through NESTA.

I was a gymnast in my youth and loved to dance, still do!

Personal training has been such a magical experience and a blessing for me, and a pursuit of passion.

I love that I get to help individuals achieve their goals as well as help them maintain them.


Tell us how and why you came up with the cellulite treatment program?

My gymnastics background taught me the importance of stretching to keep the legs conditioned, flexible and toned. This was the base of that part of the program, as I had been practicing stretching from my early 20s.

The massaging came later after doing years of research on cellulite and coming up with the same natural treatment therapy - which all pointed to circulation via massage therapy or self-massage.

I reached out to Dr. Howard Murad, the author of the book, "The Cellulite Solution" once I had the elements of the program together, and presented the program to him, being that they are both based on natural treatments.

Dr. Murad was very enthusiastic about the program and happy to know that there was another product (Love Your Legs DVD) soon to be available on the market that was effective, that is based on natural treatments and includes similar philosophy to those found in his book.


Tell us a little more about how the program works.

The program consists of three components: nutrition, exercise and circulation. In the DVD, we answer all the questions women have about cellulite including why we get it and what can be done about it.

Just by following the suggestions on the food card that comes with the program and learning what Dr. Howard Murad and nutritionist Dr. Jack Tipps have to say about nutrition, women will start to feel a difference in their bodies.

Then the program includes 10 exercises that are super effective even without weights and can be done at home. I explain how to modify the exercises to make them harder, easier, and how to create your own lower body routine to keep your program interesting as long as you do the exercises.

The final component is circulation. The DVD includes manual circulation techniques using your hand or a body scrubber, as well as stretches that include all leg muscles.

The techniques are simple and help stimulate problem areas for cellulite reduction and prevention. Poor circulation is at the top of the list of why cellulite develops.

Dr. Murad elaborates on the importance of the above three components for the most effective natural treatment for cellulite reduction and prevention.


If the cellulite treatment program is followed, how long before you can expect results and what kind of results?

With proper eating as discussed in the program and the exercises together, women begin to see results in as little as two weeks.

Stretching and manual circulation (including a topical moisturizer including ingredients as suggested in the program) should be done as least five days a week (it takes little time!), and in conjunction with improved eating and the exercises, results will be best in six-eight weeks.


Final thought…

There is no magic cure for cellulite. Women are naturally prone to cellulite and up to 25% of it can be contributed by genes. The rest can be controlled, treated and prevented.

The components of the Love Your Legs program are presented to make it easy for everyone to understand what cellulite is about, and how we can most easily make it less of a nuisance in our lives.
