How I Became a Leg Expert


My story...



You must be wondering what exactly makes me such a leg expert and why I created this web site? If that's the case, I invite you to read my story.




First of all, let me introduce myself...

My name is Eva, I am 32 and I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I am married to Brian and we have a beautiful daughter, Hailey, who is three and a son, Kyle born February 2007.

Here is my family in October 2007.


Feb 2007 update

February 8, 2007 we welcomed our second child Kyle James.

While I am looking after a newborn and a two year old, my husband and my sister will take over the duties of looking after this site for some time.

I am sure all the moms out there can understand that :)

I will be still available for consultation! LOL

My legs were my "weakest link" since at least elementary school. My mother used to frequently and casually mention how my legs were just like hers- thick and chunky.

I don't think she meant to instill insecurities in my young, immature mind. Perhaps she was dealing with her own insecurities, but unfortunately it didn't have the greatest effect on my self confidence.

By the time I was 14, I refused to wear shorts and skirts in the summer. At that time we lived in Italy, so summers were scorching, but I would still not abandon my trusted pair of jeans. After all they were my security blanket. They were hiding my "big" legs, that I thought everybody noticed, even hidden under the denim.

It was around that time that I tried my first "leg slimming cream". I saved all my allowance money and finally I was able to buy my miracle cream. I was honestly convinced that the cream worked wonders, and that my legs would miraculously slim down. Boy, was I disappointed after I finished my jar and my legs weren't any slimmer!

But that's how my quest to great legs began, and I started trying new creams, exercise, researching diets and different supplements. I would write down all my researched info and put it in my designated binder. I became the leg expert!

But despite all the exercise and special creams and diets, I was not satisfied with my legs. I had this deep seated belief that my legs just were not good enough.

So I started reading all the books I could get my hands on, about self confidence and self acceptance. That helped me to deal with the negative beliefs, that were stopping me from accepting my legs just the way they were.

Today, I am quite happy with my legs.

Unfortunately I am prone to cellulite and spider veins, so I have to exercise and watch my diet. And occasionally I wish that my ankles were a little slimmer, but that lasts only a minute or two.

So all in all I think that I have great legs!

That's why I decided to create this web site. To share my expertise and experience with other women who might be going through the same issues about their legs, that I went through.
