Mesotherapy
A safe and effective cellulite solution
Are you wondering if mesotherapy is the solution to improve the appearance of your cellulite ridden thighs ?
If that's the case, then I invite you to read this page, as we explore this safe cosmetic procedure.
What is Mesotheraphy?
Mesotherapy was discovered in 1952 by a french physician Dr. Michael Pistor.
In this procedure a certified health care practitioner injects microscopic amounts of special solution, into the mesoderm. Mesoderm is the middle layer of the skin in which we accumulate our fat deposits.
The injected solution:
- melts the fat deposits
- breaks down the network of connective tissue fibers that form and trap fat cells
- improves circulation, lymphatic and venous drainage
How does it treat cellulite?
Mesotherapy targets these three causes of cellulite:
- Poor circulation
- Enlarged fat cells
- Defective connective tissue
What agents are used for injection?
The specialists formulate a solution based on client's individual needs. Some of the agents used are:
- Conventional medications
- Homeopathic medications
- Vitamins
- Minerals
- Amino Acids
How many injections are needed?
That depends on the area of cellulite to be treated. Usually the solution is injected for every inch of the area treated.
How many sessions do you need?
This is one of the treatments that you need to do consistently. It is recommended to do at least 10-15 weekly sessions to see results. Of course that depends on the severity of your cellulite. Individual doctor's assessment is required.
Is it painful?
Apparently it is not too bad. Of course that depends on your pain threshold and how you feel about needles. Discuss your pain control options with the specialist.
How much does it cost?
You're looking at anywhere from $250 to $450 or more per one treatment. It all depends on the size of the area to be treated and of course the experience of your specialist.
You can do the math yourself. If you need 10 or 15 sessions you better be rich or 100 % sure this procedure will change your life for the better.
Are there any risks or side effects involved?
This procedure is non surgical and considered a safe and painless alternative to liposuction. So if you're in good health there are no serious risks involved.
However if you have any medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or if you're pregnant, you might not be a candidate for this procedure.
A consultation with a specialist will resolve any doubts you might have.
As for side effects, you might experience some temporary bruising that should go away within a week.
How successful are the treatments?
As always the results vary from person to person, but Mesotherapy Centers claim 50% permanent reduction in cellulite in 10 sessions and significant loss of inches of your problems areas.
Mesotherapy is also an effective treatment for variety of other conditions. Wrinkles, stretch marks, joint swelling, muscle tears to name a few.
