Reduction of Cellulite
For less dimples on your thighs
Reduction of cellulite doesn't happen overnight and it certainly won't happen if you only slap on the anti cellulite lotion and expect a miracle.
Cellulite reduction is a combined effort. It requires patience and perseverance on your part.
Here I would like to share with you how I dramatically reduced my cellulite from stage 2 to stage 1.
My cellulite became really visible during my pregnancy. I blamed it on hormones and 50 lbs of extra weight. Well...my weight quickly disappeared after my daughter was born, but the cellulite remained.
When I finally motivated myself to do something about my cellulite, my baby was almost a toddler. But nevertheless I did do something and it really worked!
So here we go.
The eight week plan to reduce cellulite is loosely based on the book by Dr. Murad "The Cellulite Solution".
The weekly plans in the book start off slow and every week there is something new added. I thought that it was a little too slow for me so I accelerated it a bit and just made a daily plan that I followed. I also added more exercise, stretching, and massage into the schedule.
Diet
How often: Every day
Since I am not a big fan of dieting and I hate to deny myself a treat, I decided against a strict diet. I just limited myself from a lot of sugary snacks and junk food and I replaced them with fruits and lots of veggies. Also I made sure I drank 8-10 glasses of water a day.

How often: Every day, morning and evening
The specific supplements
for reduction of cellulite assist the body in getting adequate nutrition for cell regeneration. I took the supplements as recommended, twice a day.

Anti cellulite cream or serum
How often: Every day, morning and evening
Although
anti cellulite creams
tend not to work so well on their own, I added one since I figured it will not hurt and it might actually help with my reduction of cellulite program. I applied it twice a day, once in the morning and again before going to bed.
The recommended Murad Firm and Tone Serum is fairly pricey, so I also bought the much cheaper Cellu-Sculpt by Avon and I applied one in the morning and the other one in the evening.
Recommended Products:
Stretching
How often: 5-7 days a week
Stretching is a great way to increase circulation to your cellulite ridden thighs as well as give your muscles lean appearance. I chose to stretch every day, after my morning shower.
Choose 4 or 5
leg stretches
and spend 5 to 10 minutes doing them.
Exercise
How often: 3 times per week, at least 20 minutes at a time
To keep it interesting I did different exercise routines every time. My choice was
pilates,
cardio kickboxing,
pole dancing
and my own routine consisting of some of the
leg exercises
listed on my website.
If an exercise routine is not your thing, then go biking, roller blading, jogging or play some tennis. Just get off the couch and have some fun!
Dry Skin Brushing
How often: Every day
I found the easiest way to do it, is to
dry skin brush
first thing in the morning, before you shower.
Skin Massage
How often: Every day
You can do
skin massage
any time of the day, but personally I always do it following my shower and right after applying rich body lotion or anti cellulite serum.
If you follow the Reduction of Cellulite plan, you should definitely see results by week 6 and by week 8 your cellulite should be less visible and your skin much smoother and softer.
After your 8 weeks are finished, it is a good idea to keep up with the healthy diet and exercise as well as with dry skin brushing and skin massage. This will help you to keep your skin healthy and cellulite away!
